In this post i would like to talk about the red fruits. Since a lot of years we know that this type of fruit is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants such as polyphenols like resveratrol. For this reason in the past and even currently some health professionals recommend the consumption of red fruit because they attribute this food a lot of properties like to reduce the risk of different pathologies.
But in my opinion there are not enough evidence to recommend choosing this fruit instead another fruits. There are a lot of investigations that conclude that to increase the fruit consumption can reduces the cardiovascular and cardiometabolic risk and can reduce the incidence of some types of cancer. But the evidence suggest that there are not some preferable fruits. All the fruits have similar effects in our organism. The best recommendation to the people is to increase the intake of fruit but it is not important the type of the fruit. The best option to eat fruit is raw fruit because it conserve all the nutrients that can be lost whe we cook the food.
