In this post i would like to talk about the sources of calcium. The calcium intake is important not just for our bone health but also for our cardiometabolic and cardiovascular health and too for the maintenance of our weight. We can think that it is not importat the type of source of the calcium but is not true. There are vegetables that are rich in calcium, but if we choose vegetables sources of calcium the absorption could be reduced because this food contains some elements as fiber etc… that can interfe with the calcium absorption.
However the dairy products have not this problem. In addition it is importat to insist on the daily comsuption of dairy products, because the people could obtain some benefits in their organism not just for the calcium content but also for other ingredients.
In conclusion not all the sources of calcium are the same, some investigatios suggest that the daily products are the best source. Besides in the group of the daily products, the best choice is the yoghurt becouse along with the calcium it contains other positive ingredients to our health that are not present in other daily products
